Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA) rolled out Zyn-inspired campaign merch Tuesday, putting a nicotine-themed spin on her reelection pitch just two months before voters decide one of the country’s most competitive House races.
Gluesenkamp Perez dropped a $50 “Glue-zyn-kamp” storage tin on her office campaign website, mimicking the Zyn nicotine pouch. The merch quickly gained traction on social media as the 38-year-old congresswoman fights to hold her battleground seat for a third term.
She is facing a difficult reelection fight in a district President Donald Trump carried in 2024. Since winning her seat in 2022, Gluesenkamp Perez has made appealing to working-class voters a central part of her political brand, frequently breaking with fellow Democrats.
Just last week, she sided with Republicans to force a vote on condemning socialism and the Democratic Socialists of America. For the defection, Gluesenkamp Perez was criticized by fellow Democrats, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). Jeffries and the Democratic caucus are weighing whether to dole out punishment for the defection.

Gluesenkamp Perez is set to face Republican John Braun in November.
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) visited the district during the August recess to campaign for Braun, the minority leader of the Washington state Senate.
