The Massachusetts judge overseeing Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial on Friday dramatically gave her defense attorney one hour to make an emergency appeal for a stay before he declares a mistrial.
Judge William Sullivan, who is overseeing the murder trial at Plymouth Superior Court, made the decision after the 12-member jury spent seven days deliberating and came to a third deadlock, meaning they could not reach a consensus over whether Clancy was in her right mind or under psychosis when she killed her three children.
Defense attorney Kevin Reddington has until around 12:30 pm to file the motion.
