President Donald Trump will present the Congressional Space Medal of Honor on Friday to the four Artemis II crew members to honor their flight around the moon.
NASA ANNOUNCES CREW FOR ARTEMIS III MISSION
Trump will give the awards to astronauts Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch, Victor Glover, and Jeremy Hansen at around 11:40 a.m. on Friday morning at the NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. The medal rewards astronauts who have distinguished themselves with “exceptionally meritorious efforts and contributions to the welfare of the Nation and of mankind.”
The four crew members were the first humans to return to the region in space where the moon orbits in decades, setting the record for the longest distance mankind has traveled from Earth.
