Who is Natalie Harp? Meet Donald Trump’s ‘human printer’

.

When Sen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA) called out President Donald Trump‘s close relationship with his top White House aide, Natalie Harp, a new audience was introduced to the 35-year-old “human printer” embedded in the Trump administration.

During a campaign rally, Ossoff was making a dig at Trump’s demeanor in office and mentioned the 80-year-old president’s closeness with Harp, noting how Harp was one of a select few who flew with Trump aboard a separate plane from other Cabinet members in Turkey during the Air Force One switchup.

Often seen in the Oval Office at Trump’s side or boarding Marine One, Harp has established herself as the president’s sidekick, and some reports suggest a close confidant.

Harp, a California native and Liberty University graduate, has been a pillar in Trump’s Oval Office since he began his second term, but the pair’s relationship dates back to June 2019 when Harp credited Trump with saving her life.

At the time, Harp was in her 20s recovering from bone cancer and wrote an op-ed proclaiming the “party of healthcare is Trump’s.” She later appeared in a Fox & Friends interview and said Trump was pivotal to her recovery by signing the Right to Try Act, which allows terminally ill patients to receive experimental treatments without approval from the Food and Drug Administration.

Harp mentioned that her Democratic representatives in California, where she was living at the time, had offered her “rights,” such as the right to die, but they weren’t the rights she wanted. She explained that Trump had offered her an option to fight by signing the Right to Try.

Shortly after Harp’s appearance, Trump phoned into the show, which happened to be on his birthday, and called Harp a “young, beautiful woman” who received successful treatment under his legislation.

Trump admired Harp’s story, and later invited her to speak at the 2020 Republican National Convention, a speech that later secured her an anchoring job at One America News Network.

As an anchor at OAN, Harp was outspoken in her support of Trump, even furthering his claims that the 2020 election was stolen, a move that ultimately landed her a job on Trump’s staff in 2022 and later a spot on his reelection campaign.

Some reports suggest Harp filled a psychological need for Trump by printing off positive reporting on him for his viewing, as the president prefers hard copy. On the campaign trail, Harp could be seen with a portable printer to provide the president with articles, Republicans praising him, Democrats bashing him, or draft Truth Social posts, which gave her the nickname “human printer.”

TRUMP SAYS HUMANS CONTROL THE BOMB. THE CODE DOESN’T KNOW THAT YET

Trump’s social media had been managed by his senior adviser Dan Scavino, but Harp took over the responsibility, a role she has continued in since Trump was reelected. According to the Wall Street Journal, Harp brings Trump printed-out draft Truth Social posts, which he then approves for her to post. It’s a taxing job as Trump’s account often fires off a series of posts late into the evening and the wee hours of the morning.

Managing Trump’s social media has at times landed Harp in hot water. According to the Bulwark, Harp was responsible for a 2024 video posted on Truth Social that featured the phrase “Unified Reich,” using a term reminiscent of Nazi Germany. Former press secretary Karoline Leavitt rushed to put out the fire, saying the video was posted by a “junior staffer” who didn’t see the phrase, and sources later told the outlet it was more than likely Harp, as no one else with access to Trump’s account, including Scavino, would be characterized as a “junior staffer.”

According to the Wall Street Journal, Harp was also likely responsible for a video that showed former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama as apes, as well as an AI-generated photo depicting Trump as Jesus. The outlet noted that Harp has also been the source of frustration among Trump’s inner circle because she doesn’t share draft posts with anyone else in the administration, including the communications team, and Harp has said she only works for Trump.

Harp has cemented herself as an omnipresent figure in the Trump administration, appearing alongside the president as he travels near and far, at his side on the golf course, and in almost every Oval Office briefing. New York Times reporters Maggie Haberman and Jonathan Swan, in their book Regime Change: Inside the Imperial Presidency of Donald Trump, said Trump views Harp as one of his most loyal aides and often refers to her as “sweetie.”

The pair have a relationship some outlets have likened to that of a father and daughter, but according to Haberman and Swan, Harp sent a series of letters to Trump in 2023 while working on his campaign that appeared deeply affectionate.

In her letters, Harp told Trump he is “all that matters” to her and called him the “guardian and protector in this life.”

“I want to bring you joy,” she wrote in a letter, “to feel like we can get through a day without ever having to talk ‘work.’”

Harp’s brother, Preston Harp, told the Daily Beast he believes his sister sees Trump as a father figure. Shortly before Natalie Harp delivered her speech at the RNC in 2020, her father unexpectedly died. Preston Harp said the death was ruled a suicide by the coroner but said his mother and sister told him to say he died in his sleep. Preston Harp has also described his sister’s relationship with Trump as “very unhealthy.”

OSSOFF RIPS TRUMP OVER CLOSENESS WITH WHITE HOUSE AIDE IN NEW DEMOCRATIC ATTACK LINE

A White House spokesman contended that “nobody gives a s***” what Ossoff has to say about the Trump aide.

“Natalie Harp is one of the most loyal and hardest-working aides on President Trump’s team. Jon Ossoff is a cringeworthy, feminine theatre kid cosplaying as Barack Obama. Nobody gives a s*** what this lightweight loser says,” spokesman Davis Ingle said.
