America First begins in Texas

.

During the Biden administration, Texas and our public resources were overwhelmed by the border crisis. Fentanyl poured across our border. Military-age men from around the world crossed illegally and settled in our communities. They enrolled in our schools and drew on our public resources. The effects of what crossed that border during the Biden years will be felt in Texas for decades to come.

Come November, Texas faces a choice: return our state to the front line of the socialist Democratic Party’s border crisis, or stand united and elect Attorney General Ken Paxton as our next United States senator.

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) has led our state and our party for 41 years. He has stood strong for Texas and for our nation, and he will be remembered as a statesman of deep integrity and honor. Cornyn has been a friend of the Hicks family since I was a child. That friendship runs deeper than any election.

Paxton will carry that torch to Washington and bring new energy to our fight to protect this country. He is a proven fighter who will stand strong for our border and stand with President Donald Trump.

Cornyn ran a strong campaign to return to the Senate, but Texas Republicans chose Paxton by an overwhelming margin. Our senator is loved by many in the Texas business and grassroots communities, and after a hard-fought primary, it is tempting for some to withhold their support from the nominee. My question to those holding out: What is the alternative?

A fake pastor who has said our God is nonbinary and that children should choose among six genders? James Talarico stands with New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, not with Texas values. The Texas Miracle, started by then-Gov. George W. Bush, supercharged by former Gov. Rick Perry, and put into overdrive by Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX), would stall under Talarico. For Texas to keep growing, it needs two Republican senators. Paxton will fight in the Senate and work alongside Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for the benefit of every Texan.

Talarico would vote for open borders, boys in girls sports, and endless impeachments. Texas needs an America First senator, not one who chases a radical, globalist agenda in our schools, our businesses, and our churches. His campaign message does not hold up. The Republican Party is the party of America and the party of the future. Paxton will carry that torch and bring a new generation of Texas leadership to Washington.

When I first got involved in politics, the fight was simple: Republicans versus Democrats.

That has changed. The Democratic Party has been captured by the likes of Talarico, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), and the growing “squad.” We cannot let that infect Texas. Texas leads the nation and shows the world what freedom looks like.

JAMES TALARICO SAID HE ‘HATES CHRISTIANITY.’ HERE’S WHY

Get off the couch. Get your friends and family to the polls. Our republic, and the world, is counting on us.

When the nation needs leaders, it calls on Texans. From Cruz to CIA Director John Ratcliffe to Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins. From congressional leaders like Republican Study Committee Chairman August Pfluger, Small Business Committee Chairman Roger Williams, Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne, Congressman Jake Ellzey, Congressman Lance Gooden, and Dr. Ronny Jackson, to rising stars like Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX), the nation relies on Texas. And this November, Texas must deliver again.
