Second lady Usha Vance shares new photos of baby Alec

.

Love is in the air at the Vance household, as second lady Usha Vance shared photos with Vice President JD Vance Friday of their new family of six.

“Thank you for all the good wishes as we settle into life as a family of six” Usha said on X. “Meet Alec — and enjoy these attempts at taking a decent family photo with four kids!”

The photos show the family sitting on a couch for a family portrait, complete with the other three Vance children, sons Ewan and Vivek, and daughter Mirabel.

Alec Neel Vance was born on July 19 and is the fourth child of the vice president and second lady, who married in 2014. Alec is the first child born to a sitting U.S. second lady in more than 150 years. Schuyler Colfax and his wife had a son in 1870 while he served as Ulysses S. Grant’s vice president.
