The DSA’s dubious Workers Deserve More agenda will destroy the working class

.

The Democratic Socialists of America is a well-funded, politically savvy organization that is admired by most young people and Democratic voters.

The DSA is “the largest socialist organization in the United States,” has “chapters in every state,” has a youth arm, the Young Democratic Socialists of America, and has members in political offices throughout America, at the federal, state, and local levels.

The DSA is a rising political force that seeks to destroy the Democratic Party and the working class.

A few days ago, the DSA released its anticipated Workers Deserve More policy platform.

Before going into the details, the DSA imagines “taking a day off from work in a future without capitalism.”

In this Marxist utopia, according to the DSA, “You work as much as you are able and no more than needed.”

“You have no debt. You don’t need health insurance. You don’t pay a mortgage or have a landlord.”

“Your retirement is publicly funded. Food, education, energy, medicine, and transportation aren’t for-profit businesses; they are common goods.”

Sounds too good to be true? Never mind.

The DSA has a foolproof domestic policy plan that will create this workers’ paradise.

To create “thriving working class communities,” the DSA has expanded the scope and definition of natural rights.

Unalienable rights now include “universal healthcare at no cost to individuals,” “paid family leave for all workers,” a “32 hour work week with full pay and benefits,” a “living minimum wage,” free pre-K, free college, the cancellation of all student loan debt, housing, reparations, a universal basic income, and a federal jobs guarantee.

More importantly, the DSA has determined that the only way to ensure that hardworking Americans thrive is by enacting the Green New Deal.

“Workers must lead our democratic transition to a green future,” the DSA says.

For workers to thrive, we must “phase out the use of fossil fuels.”

The key to making working-class households prosperous is a “massive investment in sustainable, publicly owned energy and transit infrastructure.” Even better, by shunning abundant, reliable, and affordable energy via fossil fuels in favor of expensive and inherently unreliable solar and wind, we can “reclaim and repair our earth’s resources for all.”

In other words, if you do not support the GND, you advocate the rape and pillage of Mother Earth. And furthermore, if you do not support a gargantuan increase in the welfare state, despite our $40 trillion national debt and massive federal budget deficit, you are a greedy, soulless, unempathetic, cold-hearted capitalist who hates poor people.

Next, we turn to the DSA’s vision of a working-class-oriented foreign affairs strategy.

First, and foremost, we must “defund the Department of War” and “close overseas military bases” because that will enhance national security.

Then, we must “free Palestine” and “end blockades, embargoes, and blockades.”

But most crucially, the DSA emphasizes, we must “abolish ICE,” “end deportations,” “grant amnesty for all immigrants,” and “end visa caps and quotas.”

Don’t you get it? Unfettered, illegal immigration and open borders are a boon to the working class. It does not depress their wages. A mass influx of people has no effect on the price of housing. Working-class people never pay for the benefits of illegal immigrants on the dole.

Lastly, we must examine what the DSA has in store for what it calls a “working-class democracy.”

Axing the Electoral College, Senate, presidency, and Supreme Court in favor of a unicameral legislative overlord will give the working class political power. Finally, power will be granted to the working people.

It also behooves the working class, naturally, to “establish public ownership of the largest corporations and essential industries to ensure democratic control and accountability to the people.” Nationalization has a stellar track record of making industries more efficient and innovative, and the people who supposedly own them wealthier.

If you are a working-class person concerned about how to pay for this huge expansion in the welfare state, you have nothing to fear. The DSA has calculated that it will be fully funded by what it calls “aggressive wealth taxes on the richest individuals and corporations.”

Trust me, the working class will not pay a single dime in additional taxes, fees, or other hidden costs to pay for the biggest government nanny state the world has ever seen. The evil billionaires and sinister corporations will voluntarily fork over massive amounts of “wealth” despite it being unconstitutional and an affront to the sacred principles of due process and property rights.

Yes, most of the DSA’s agenda is patently unconstitutional, anti-American, and destructive to the working class.

Such is why the DSA buries in the fine print of its Workers Deserve More program that it seeks to “transform society: to win the battle for democracy, draft a new constitution, and create a democratic socialist republic.”

The DSA and its army of affiliated groups are more than dangerous — they are a dire threat to the future of the U.S. as a constitutional republic.

MAMDANI AIRWAYS: SOCIALISTS NOW WANT TO NATIONALIZE YOUR FLIGHTS TOO

A governing system built on the rule of law, property rights, checks and balances, limited government, separation of powers, federalism, and republicanism, coupled with a free-enterprise economic system guided by the invisible hand, has made the U.S. the most noble, righteous, wealthy, free, opportunity-laden, prosperous, and liberty-oriented nation ever created.

It would be a crime against humanity if the public, especially the working class, committed political suicide by supporting an agenda that is anathema to the American dream and its very existence.
