President Donald Trump took a shot at Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) on Wednesday just after picking his own horse in Minnesota’s gubernatorial race.
“Amy Klobuchar, the lightly respected Senator from Minnesota, is running for Governor to take the place of the current Corrupt and Incompetent Tim Walz,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Wednesday afternoon. “I have gotten to know Klobuchar over the years, and find her to be equally as incompetent as Walz, and probably equally as corrupt in that, as a high Government Official from Minnesota, she knew everything that was going on.”
Trump endorsed MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell in Minnesota’s crowded Republican primary for governor. Though Lindell has consistently backed Trump in the past, specifically amplifying allegations of fraud regarding the 2020 election, the president had yet to back a candidate.
“If the Elections in Minnesota weren’t RIGGED, any Republican could win, but they were, and that is why nobody has won there since Richard Nixon many years ago,” he continued. “I thought I won it all three times, only to be disappointed in the end. Vote for Mike Lindell for Governor, who has my Complete and Total Endorsement, and forget about these Corrupt Dumocrats like Amy Klobuchar. MAKE MINNESOTA GREAT AGAIN!”

Trump has already heavily influenced the 2026 gubernatorial race. Starting last year, the president directly tied Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) to Minnesota’s failed oversight of welfare programs, ultimately leading Walz to suspend his reelection campaign. Klobuchar announced her candidacy to replace Walz in January of this year and is expected to win the Democratic nomination.
Minnesota will hold its Democratic primaries on Aug. 11.
