Women have always been the acceptable collateral damage in the Left’s casualty-laden war to keep unrestricted abortion legal.
Alexis Lynn Arguella, 18, died from an abortion at a Colorado Planned Parenthood last year. Nobody has been held responsible. Tonya Reaves was left to bleed to death for 5 1/2 hours inside a Chicago Planned Parenthood. That abortion provider was never punished. Amber Thurman died, along with her unborn twins, after taking DIY abortion drugs given to her at an abortion facility in North Carolina.

NEW BATTLES AND ENDURING PRINCIPLES IN THE POST-ROE LANDSCAPE
Predictably, the pro-abortion side shifts the blame for these deaths to pro-life policies. So-called “safe and legal” abortion killed these women and their unborn children. Yet fake feminism doubles down on the lie that abortion bans cause deaths. It’s like saying smoking bans cause cancer. Negligent medical care, which includes the violence of abortion, harms and kills.
Seeing red
Unconscionably, this is being enabled by the Food and Drug Administration, a federal agency that ignores its own data. The FDA falsely claims that mifepristone is safe despite simultaneously acknowledging 36 reported deaths from 2000 to 2024. By “safe,” the FDA means it has completely disregarded its Adverse Event Reporting System. A peer-reviewed study of mifepristone and its resulting adverse events showed that in 2010 and 2009, Planned Parenthood’s own data reported 1,530 cases of adverse events. For this time period, the FDA’s system only included a total of 664 AEs from all reporting providers of abortion drugs.
Compare this with the FDA’s proud declaration, last year, that Red No. 3 dye would be banned starting in January 2027. There have been zero deaths linked to the use of Red No. 3. There is no evidence pointing to the percentage of children affected by the dye. The extremely rare reactions, according to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, are not “dangerous” but “frustrating.”
Yet, in stark contrast, a risk evaluation study of 2,660 codable adverse events, from 2000 to 2019, from mifepristone showed: Twenty deaths, up to 36 as of 2024; 529 life-threatening situations; 1,957 severe; and 154 moderate to mild. Again, these stats are from the severely underreported numbers to the FDA.

Death gets shipped
Now, DIY abortion drug dealers are shipping the fatal pills across state lines, especially into states that have banned abortion. Some pro-abortion states and organizations are “stockpiling” the pills. The FDA has done nothing to stop it. The Supreme Court, which ruled in its 2022 Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision that “the Constitution does not confer a right to abortion,” has refused to stop the flow.
There is one bright spot in this darkening landscape. The FDA just announced it will finally review the latest data on mifepristone and reassess its safety protocols, which were obliterated in 2021 under the Biden administration. A female patient doesn’t need to be physically evaluated to get these pills that kill, even though using mifepristone with an ectopic pregnancy could be fatal to the mother. She can procure them through telehealth, Planned Parenthood, pharmacy chains, or online distributors who don’t require age or pregnancy verification. Anyone can get these pills — a 12-year-old or a disgruntled boyfriend who doesn’t want the responsibilities of being a father.

Exponential exploitation
It’s a question we have to keep asking ourselves over and over again. The pro-abortion side, engaging in fake feminism, has long stood on the side of actual patriarchy — as mostly male abortion providers opened their back-alley operations with storefront doors. And now, the same crowd champions unlimited, unregulated, and unrestricted abortion as they stand by their man. Weak men across the country, emboldened by easy and anonymous access to DIY chemical abortion pills, have been able to poison their girlfriends and wives: Jon Demeter; Hassan-James Abbas, a Toledo surgeon; Justin Anthony Banta; Emerson Evans; and Mason Herring are just the ones who’ve gotten caught.
JESSE RIDGWAY ABORTED HIS CHILD WITH DOWN SYNDROME. HE WAS LIED TO
This reinforces the CDC’s alarming assertion that homicide is a leading cause of death among pregnant women. Researchers from Harvard’s School of Public Health declared: “Homicide deaths among pregnant women are more prevalent than deaths from hypertensive disorders, hemorrhage, or sepsis.” You won’t hear that from legacy media or self-proclaimed “women’s rights groups”. Why? Because zealous “pro-choice” advocacy has undeniable dogma: abortion, no matter what.
It’s a war, and all the victims are women and children. There are no sidelines, just battle lines. America needs more people to love the vulnerable and care about them enough to get in the fight.
