Recall when Virgina attorney general fantasized about murdering a Republican and his children and Democrats still voted for him?

.

A famous quote from poet Maya Angelou suggests, “When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.” It’s time people start believing Democrats are the party of political assassins and violent murderers because they have shown they are for many years now. Look no further than Virginia Attorney General Jay Jones. And it’s especially important after the latest assassination attempt of President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner

While as a candidate campaigning to be Virginia’s attorney general, it was revealed that Jones previously sent abhorrent text messages laced with violent homicidal fantasies. It was revealed he fantasized about then-Virginia House Speaker Todd Gilbert getting “two bullets to the head” and a subsequent wish that Gilbert’s children would “die in their mother’s arms.”

“Three people, two bullets. Gilbert, hitler, and pol pot,” Jones sent in a text message to Republican state Del. Carrie Coyner. “Gilbert gets two bullets to the head.” And, in addition to fantasizing about murdering a Republican political rival and his children, he also said he wanted to urinate on the graves of deceased Republicans.

Under normal circumstances, the discovery of such text messages would arguably lead someone to have a mental health evaluation, let alone a political candidate running for the esteemed office of attorney general. To say these were red flags would be a drastic understatement. Yet, Democrats instead decided to elect him to be Virginia’s top prosecutor. It speaks volumes that voters would elect such a person to such an office. It’s indicative of how many Democratic voters wantonly ignore casual references to murdering political opponents and their children. It’s a reflection of their character, morals, and ethics, or lack thereof.

It goes back to my original point: When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.

And if there was any way in which the revelation of Jones’s text message could be worse, the discovery came less than a month after a gunman brutally murdered Turning Point USA CEO Charlie Kirk in a premeditated assassination on the campus of Utah Valley University. And Democrats, who had spent years whining about “threats to democracy,” rewarded Jones by electing him to be Virginia’s attorney general.

This sequence, in which a Democrat candidate fantasized about murdering a politician and his young children, and being embraced by Democrats, is crucial, especially in the days after yet another assassination plot by a rogue, left-wing radical ideologue at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner who allegedly sought to kill President Donald Trump and other members of his administration. Democrats have tried to do damage control after the attempted mass murder by trying to blame acts of political violence on Republicans. However, the truth is that there is an assassination fetish among Democrats, and their support for Jones proves that.

When people show you who they are, believe them the first time. Believe that suspect Cole Allen was a left-wing ideologue who wanted to murder political opposition. Believe that suspect Tyler Robinson wanted to murder Charlie Kirk because he disagreed with Kirk’s politics. Believe that a Democratic candidate fantasized about murdering political rivals and their children, and believe that knowing this, Democrats chose to elect him anyway.

Actions speak louder than words, and Democrats’ actions are at a deafening level. They have regularly demonstrated that the assassination fetish running wild among supporters is not problematic for them. They have shown they don’t object to such chaos and violence, and have shown, in a fair and free democratic election, to support such violent fanatics. Time and time again, Democrats have shown themselves to be the party of murder, assassinations, political violence, and destruction. No amount of performative politics or the hyperbolic, hysterical rage of House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) can change that.

It’s well past time we start believing them, and, more importantly, it’s time to hold them accountable and demand change. If not, there will be more Democratic candidates, such as Jay Jones, fantasizing about murdering their opponents, and there will be more would-be assassins, such as Allen, allegedly trying to kill Republican presidents and administration officials.
