The Michigan Democratic Party is abandoning any sense of sanity or moderation, transforming into a party that accepts and promotes antisemitism and Islamic terrorism, all to please voters and activists from Dearborn.
The Michigan Democratic Party made this most clear on Sunday, when it nominated Amir Makled to run for a regent position for the University of Michigan over incumbent Democrat Jordan Acker. The contrast between the two couldn’t be clearer: Acker is Jewish and has been the target of antisemitic vandalism by pro-Palestinian terrorist supporters at his home and his law firm, while Makled, who is from Dearborn, has supported Hezbollah.
DEARBORN HEIGHTS MAYOR’S PATHETIC ATTEMPT TO RATIONALIZE MICHIGAN SYNAGOGUE ATTACK
Both left-wing Axios and further left-wing MS NOW have detailed how Gaza has become a defining issue in the Michigan Democratic Party, among both its politicians and its core activists and staff. The Michigan Democratic Party is orienting itself around sympathy for Palestinian terrorists and the Palestinian cause of being able to murder Israelis without consequences.
The result is that the party now bases all of its decisions on the Detroit suburb of Dearborn, which a Wall Street Journal opinion piece fairly described as “America’s Jihad Capital.” There were widespread celebrations in Dearborn, a majority Arab-American suburb, after the Oct. 7 massacre of Israeli civilians at the hands of Palestinian terrorists, which started the Democratic obsession with the Palestinians that is still infecting the party today.
BROTHER OF MICHIGAN SYNAGOGUE ATTACKER WAS HEZBOLLAH COMMANDER, ISRAEL SAYS
No state chapter of the Democratic Party is more affected by this than Michigan, where Democrats are convinced they lost the 2024 presidential elections because President Joe Biden was somehow too kind toward Israel. So you have the endorsement of Makled, or the rise of Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic Senate candidate rising in the polls who has defended the motivations of Islamic terrorists and thinks that condemning a terrorist trying to massacre Jewish preschoolers in his state is a “risk.”
The Michigan Democratic Party has become the party of Dearborn, which, by extension, means it has become the party of Gaza. Michigan Democrats are increasingly making decisions based on sympathies in Dearborn, and around the state, toward Palestinian terrorists in Gaza and Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon. The governing party of a politically important state is selling its political soul to terrorist sympathizers, and the consequences will be felt throughout Michigan and the rest of the country as those Democrats continue to rise to power.
