Former Vice President Kamala Harris and former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg are set to have their own speaking slots at the 35th annual National Action Network Convention, hosted by Rev. Al Sharpton in New York City on Friday morning.
The Biden administration officials are speculated to be mounting bids for the 2028 presidential race. That possibility is fueled by their recent public appearances.
They weren’t the only 2028 Democratic presidential hopefuls to appear at the conference this week. Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) sat down for a conversation with Sharpton on Wednesday. Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) did the same, teasing his possible 2028 presidential run in the process.
Harris is scheduled to start speaking at 11 a.m. Friday, followed by Buttigieg.
