US strikes Iran’s Kharg Island in Persian Gulf as Trump’s deadline looms

The U.S. military carried out strikes on Iran’s Kharg Island Tuesday morning, hitting military targets that it had already struck, a U.S. official told the Washington Examiner, adding that this was “not an oil infrastructure strike.”

A source told the citizen journalist Telegram channel Mamlekate that the strikes were “even worse” than the last major strike against the island.

“From 11 AM until half an hour ago, there was continuous bombing, again towards the airport and the IRGC base, but this time they also hit the docks,” it said.

Two U.S. officials told the Wall Street Journal that over 50 targets were struck on the island.

The importance of the island means the attacks were likely ordered by President Donald Trump himself. Shortly after, the president posted one of his harshest warnings to Iran yet, vowing to follow through on his promise to blow up the country’s power plants if it didn’t reopen the Strait of Hormuz and come to terms.

HOW THE US AND PAKISTAN’S RELATIONSHIP COULD HELP END RESPECTIVE WARS WITH IRAN AND AFGHANISTAN

“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will,” Trump said. “However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World.”

“47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!” Trump added.
