Democrats ‘tone deaf’ on what voters want: Joe Concha

.

Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha said Democrats are losing their standing with their own party on Fox Business’s The Evening Edit with Elizabeth MacDonald.

He said the new wave of “woke Democrats” is creating frustration within the party, and that people likely at the top of the 2028 Democratic ticket, such as Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) and former Vice President Kamala Harris, are not going to win over voters

“If you want to start supporting all these policies like men playing against women in sports or open borders, that will not win you elections, especially in the swing states,” Concha said.

MacDonald cited a CNN poll that asked whether congressional Democrats have the right priorities. The majority of Democrats who partook in the poll did not hold a favorable view of their party.

“Eighty percent of Americans, including more than 70% of Democrats, support showing an ID when you go to vote or show that you’re [an] American citizen,” Concha said. He then talked about how backward Democrats are on the issue since they are “going to the mat to try to support illegals in this country.”

“They’re taking all these stances where they’re on the 20 or 15 side of an 80 or 85% issue that the American people support,” he said.

Concha said Democrats are taking unpopular positions, even when there’s overwhelming public agreement the other way.

“It just shows you that they are completely tone deaf when it comes to what voters want at this stage in this country’s history.”
