More than 3,000 “No Kings” protests are set to unfold across the nation on Saturday in what organizers say could become one of the largest coordinated days of political demonstration in U.S. history.
The mobilization marks the third nationwide action led by Indivisible and allied groups following earlier waves that drew millions into the streets to protest President Donald Trump and his policies.
“People across the country are organizing, showing up for their neighbors, and making one thing unmistakably clear: we are done with the corruption, the cruelty, and the authoritarianism,” said Ezra Levin, co-executive director of Indivisible. “This ‘No Kings’ will be the largest protest in American history.”
Organizers point to rapidly growing participation. In June, more than 5 million people attended over 2,100 demonstrations nationwide, according to organizers. By October, turnout had climbed to more than 7 million across 2,700 events, signaling sustained momentum heading into this weekend.
In a statement, the coalition said the March 28 protests represent “the next step in this growing movement,” with expectations that the day could rank among the largest single-day, nonviolent protests in U.S. history.
Unlike traditional protests centered in major metropolitan hubs, Saturday’s events are designed to be local. Protests are planned not only in large cities but also in suburban communities and smaller towns, a strategy that lowers barriers to participation and broadens the protest’s reach.

Leaders from partner groups echoed that message. “On March 28, we will come together to show that our communities reject corruption, senseless war, and division,” said Katie Bethell, executive director of MoveOn Civic Action.
“Instead, we welcome immigrants, believe in the rule of law, and stand up for an economy that works for everyone,” Bethell said. “More of us than ever before will rise up, because America does not belong to strongmen or those who rule through fear. It belongs to us, the people.”
