American communists head to Havana to shill for Cuba’s communist regime

.

A group of American communists went down to Cuba to roleplay as heroic saviors while reinforcing the propaganda regime of Cuba’s communist government.

Cuba has been experiencing two weeks of protests as the government has failed to keep the power on for residents. The power grid failure on Saturday that led to blackouts is the third time the island has lost electricity just in March, stemming from a lack of oil. Cuba hasn’t received oil from abroad since Venezuela’s socialist government was decapitated with the American arrest of dictator Nicolas Maduro.

LIGHTS OUT: CUBA’S BLACKOUT EXPOSES THE HOLLOW PROMISE OF COMMUNISM

With all this going on, a group of American communists and communist sympathizers hopped on a plane to head down to Cuba to hand out aid while shilling for the Cuban communist regime. That was led by CodePink, a group with ties to China that shills for just about every terrible authoritarian regime on the planet. The expedition also included Rep. Ilhan Omar’s (D-MN) daughter, and Democratic media darling Hasan Piker, a podcaster who hosts prominent Democrats (such as California Gov. Gavin Newsom).

The pretense of this trip was to hand out aid, which, of course, was funneled through Cuban government channels. The real purpose, though, was to propagandize on behalf of Cuba’s communist government. That is why Piker said on a livestream from his Cuban hotel that the Cubans who fled government oppression for Florida were “crazy,” and all the “good” Cubans stayed in the country to serve the regime. (Piker is fresh off a similar propaganda influencer trip to China).

That is also why the terrorist supporting Irish band Kneecap performed a concert in Havana (as if the Cuban people in the midst of an energy crisis really needed a mediocre hip-hop show) and why CodePink activists gave the “gift” of a mural of “humanity” with the approval of the Cuban government. CodePink and the rest of their ilk blame all the woes of Cubans on the United States.

CUBAN PRESIDENT WARNS OF ‘IMPREGNABLE RESISTANCE’ AFTER RUBIO DEMANDS LEADERSHIP CHANGE

All of that is meant to ignore that Cuba sabotaged its own economy and infrastructure through its embrace of communism, which included executing and exiling Cuban dissidents. The Cuban government spent decades destabilizing the Western Hemisphere and plunging other countries into terrible communist regimes. The reason Cuba is struggling right now is that the socialist Venezuelan regime it was propping up — the regime that was keeping Cuba’s failing system afloat with oil exports — has fallen.

This was nothing more than a pathetic propaganda trip designed to make these activists feel good about themselves and try to polish the reputation of Cuba’s ruthlessly authoritarian communist government. It is proof that American communists are not antiauthoritarian in the slightest. They simply want their approved left-wing regimes to be the ones cracking the whip.
