Washington Examiner economics columnist Tiana Lowe Doescher said President Donald Trump was correct to be worried about sleeper cells in the United States after the missile strikes in Iran.
Doescher criticized the media for blaming the two terrorist attacks on Thursday on the military action in Iran.
“I’m appalled by the response from the left-wing media to somehow tie this or blame these terrorist attacks on U.S. military action in Iran,” Doescher said on Fox News’s Mornings with Maria Bartiromo on Friday.

There were two separate attacks on Thursday that the FBI is investigating as acts of terrorism.
In Michigan, Ayman Mohamad Ghazali drove his car into the Temple Israel Synagogue and encountered security officers who engaged in gunfire with him. The FBI is investigating the incident as a “targeted act of violence against the Jewish community,” the agency said following the attack.
In Virginia, Mohamed Bailor Jalloh opened fire at Old Dominion University, killing one person and wounding two others. Officials haven’t confirmed the motive yet, but FBI Director Kash Patel said the bureau is investigating it as an act of terrorism.
Jalloh pleaded guilty in 2017 for attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State terrorist organization and was released in 2024.
Doescher pointed out that Ghazali was granted citizenship under the Obama administration, and Jalloh was released during the Biden administration.
“You see the left wanting to blame this on the Iran war — and if anything, it further justifies the fact that the president is correct to do this,” she said. “We cannot live in fear of terrorists.”
IRAN MAY BE LOSING MILITARILY — BUT THE PROPAGANDA WAR JUST BEGAN
Doescher said that since the United States has destroyed a majority of Iran’s Navy and missiles, more terrorist attacks will happen.
“They’re coming from a place of desperation, so we should expect more of this, especially if these are sleeper cells getting activated, not less,” she said.
