Liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left have once again proven themselves to be the most insufferable people on the planet.
Without fail, they regularly demonstrate their skills in siphoning the joy out of what should otherwise be jubilant moments. It is unquestionably a disturbing and odd phenomenon, but one that keeps repeating itself. They desperately clamor for something, anything, to buttress their membership in the perpetually aggrieved class. From ballrooms to Olympic gold medals, the existence of this cadre of despondents is predicated on an insatiable thirst to be miserable.
It has been well-documented that liberals and Democrats suffer from a higher rate of mental health abnormalities than their right-wing counterparts. Multiple studies reveal that liberals and others on the Left have “long reported lower levels of happiness and psychological well-being than conservatives.” Look no further than the recent gold medal won by the men’s Olympic hockey team as an example. What should have been a joyous occasion turned into seething rage as hordes of leftists displayed their latest psychosis: men’s hockey Olympic gold medal derangement syndrome.
Even patriotic victories in international athletic competitions are no longer safe from the Left’s interminable cycle of doom and gloom. Scores of left-wing politicians, pundits, journalists, influencers, television hosts, and other social media personalities expressed unhinged dismay and righteous indignation over the men’s hockey team’s defeat of Canada for its first Olympic gold medal in the sport since 1980. Why? Because they had the audacity to revel in American patriotism and pride, wrap themselves in the U.S. flag, and — the biggest sin of all — joke and celebrate with President Donald Trump and a member of his administration, FBI Director Kash Patel.
The backlash for doing so — and it is ridiculous the word “backlash” has even to be used in this instance — involved many blasting the hockey team with insults. Journalists published unhinged articles criticizing the team.
For example, the Athletic, a sports journalism branch of the New York Times, published, “The U.S. men’s Olympic hockey team won gold — and then lost the room.” This publication’s bout with men’s hockey Olympic gold medal derangement syndrome included symptoms such as claiming the team’s decision to attend the State of the Union was “a stage upon which symbolism is never neutral.”
The scribe continued with his unhinged reaction, writing, “But this isn’t a neutral climate. This isn’t a neutral president.”
Of course, the climate and president would both be neutral if Joe Biden were in office, or Kamala Harris, or any Democrat. It only becomes not a “neutral climate” when it is Trump. It’s indicative of the massive brainwashing and indoctrination that plagues the contemporary Democratic Party in the U.S. and its acolytes. They think their politicians, ideals, beliefs, and ideologies are superior and that all those who follow are part of their left-wing utopia. Those who disagree are inferior, intolerant, and “not neutral.” And now they have roped the men’s Olympic hockey team into their divisive culture war battles they started.
(Spoiler alert: Despite the Athletic’s claims, and arguably much to their dismay, they really never lost the room.)
Former talk show host, Keith Olbermann’s bout with men’s hockey Olympic gold medal derangement syndrome revealed the current left-wing burnout is the “worst person in the world,” saying the men’s team was “too stupid, self-absorbed and misogynistic to realize that going, will stick to them permanently.”
(Spoiler alert: Despite Olbermann’s unhinged rant, attending the State of the Union is not going to be something that sticks to the hockey team permanently.)
WHERE WAS THE LEFT-WING OUTRAGE WHEN TRUMP SAID WOMEN WERE ‘MUCH SMARTER’ THAN MEN?
Others expressed dismay, outrage, and other signs of despair frequently associated with men’s hockey Olympic gold medal derangement syndrome over a joke heard on video of a phone call between Trump and the men’s team. The president quipped that he would have to invite the women’s team, who also won the gold at the Olympics, otherwise he would be impeached — an astute recognition of the fanaticism of feminists who claim sexism and misogyny if the president only invited the men’s team.
And while throngs of people claimed Trump’s remark was sexist, those very same people remained silent when Trump made a similar kind of joke about a year ago, saying that women were “much smarter than men.” Funny how that works, isn’t it? Outrage, inconsistency, jealousy, and double standards are among the worst symptoms of men’s hockey Olympic gold medal derangement syndrome.
Many others expressed similar ridiculous and asinine sentiments, showing that a consistent symptom of men’s hockey Olympic gold medal derangement syndrome is a lack of acceptance and inclusion of those who think differently than they do. It’s a nasty infection believed to have spread to the majority of a group of 75,017,613 Americans.
