Pritzker’s insults of DHS’s Tricia McLaughlin are typical, baseless left-wing propaganda

.

Gov. JB Pritzker’s (D-IL) appetite for delusional, biased, and deceptive commentary about the Department of Homeland Security and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers is larger than his gargantuan waist size.

He has regularly demonized and vilified government officials and law enforcement officers who are regularly risking their lives cleaning up the disastrous illegal immigration messes created by the policies that Democrats such as Pritzker favored. He has consistently prioritized the welfare of criminals over that of law enforcement employees. He allowed rampant illegal immigration to cause chaos in his state and has claimed that those trying to uphold the law were turning the United States into “Nazi Germany.”

Earlier this week, Pritzker descended into madness again by calling for DHS Secretary Kristi Noem to be impeached and for DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin to lose her job because she, according to Pritzker, is a “pathological liar.” This is undoubtedly a huge “pot meet kettle” moment for Pritzker, as labeling anyone a liar, given the consistent and repetitive falsehoods regularly emanating from his mouth, is performative politics at its finest. Sadly, it’s indicative of the toxic reality of Democratic devotion to spewing misinformation, particularly regarding illegal immigration and the enforcement of federal laws.

Pritzker’s grievance stemmed from the fact that McLaughlin regularly posts accounts of facts and controversies surrounding stories involving ICE officers — stories that are frequently given dishonest spins and interpretations in legacy media or by Democrats. In Pritzker’s mind, fairness is when Democrats and their accomplices in the legacy media can control narratives and messaging and demonize their political opponents or law enforcement officers doing their jobs. Consider his recent commentary about the fatal shooting of Renee Good and Pritzker’s claim about “doing nothing wrong.”

“Now, we‘re seeing it in Minneapolis, we‘re seeing the shooting in Portland and elsewhere,” Pritzker said on CNN’s State of the Union. “They are, ICE and CBP,  are breaking their own protocols. You read them earlier, their own protocols, and not only roughing people up but literally shooting at people and killing them when, in some cases, they’re U.S. citizens, and they‘re doing nothing wrong. So, this is why I have said that the president is not following the law, why Kristi Noem needs to resign or be impeached, and why Tricia McLaughlin should not have the job that she has. She‘s a pathological liar.”

The protesters against ICE were doing nothing wrong? Mr. Pritzker, who’s the “pathological liar” again? Unfortunately, this is typical behavior by Democrats. Criminals are often portrayed as the good guys, while the people entrusted to protect the innocent from them are often seen as the villains.

Other examples of Pritzker’s villainous and dishonest rhetoric include when he claimed that DHS, ICE, and other officers were “raiding neighborhoods” and not arresting criminals or other bad guys, but rather “picking up people who are brown and black and then checking their credentials.”

However, the facts do not support this claim. For example, Operation Midway Blitz, orchestrated by DHS, resulted in the arrest of more than 1,000 illegal immigrants in the area, including those with pedophile charges, rapists, murderers, drug traffickers, members of the gang Tren de Aragua, and other people charged with violent crimes.

Anyone arrested during an illegal immigration enforcement operation is apprehended because he or she is in the U.S. illegally, not because of their skin color or ethnicity. Claims such as Pritzker’s are regular hyperbolic left-wing rhetoric and repeated ad nauseam, but it doesn’t make it accurate.

Pritzker also claimed that DHS and ICE zip-tied children during their operations and cited a social media video post as his evidence. The problem? The video was satirical and filmed in 2024 by the father of the child in the viral image, as a joke, while he was playing “cops and robbers” with his son. Nevertheless, Pritzker used it as an example of his damning evidence.

He called McLaughlin a “pathological liar” while engaging in the very thing for which he demonized the DHS Assistant Secretary. It’s a manipulative tactic that could have been taken straight from the pages of George Orwell’s classic, Animal Farm. It’s truly hard to believe Pritzker was elected governor when he regularly cannot get basic facts correct. There are many other examples of Pritzker’s deception and malfeasance, too.

PHILADELPHIA SHERIFF CALLS WESLEY HUNT A RACIAL SLUR DURING ANTI-ICE RANT

While recently, such criticisms have focused on ICE officers, the penchant to vilify law enforcement long precedes ICE. Who can forget the disparaging comments Democrats such as Pritzker regularly engaged in, and the lies they advanced, during incidents such as the deaths of Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin? ICE officers are just the latest target of left-wing fervor and hysteria. Those lies, deceptions, and distortions tore the country apart as left-wing politicians and their sycophants in the media regularly spread false tales about those events. Did everyone forget the “Hands up, don’t shoot” canard?

Such left-wing fabrications are the reason why McLaughlin’s job is so important. Moreover, it would not even be necessary if liberals, Democrats, and others on the Left, and their legacy media accomplices, prioritized telling the truth when these events occur, instead of crafting convoluted messaging predicated on aligning with their political preferences, values, and ideologies, instead of synchronizing with the truth. McLaughlin has debunked a trove of left-wing propaganda messaging since assuming her position in 2025. It’s why she is so valuable in her position; it’s why she is so hated by Pritzker and many other Democrats.

Pritzker may be the governor of Illinois, but McLaughlin is doing more work to protect innocent people in Illinois from criminals than Pritzker is. McLaughlin believes in holding criminals accountable; Pritzker believes in protecting these bad guys.
