Trump debuts new ‘Marjorie Taylor Brown’ nickname for MTG after pair fall out

.

President Donald Trump and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene‘s (R-GA) feud escalated on Saturday, with the president debuting new nicknames for his erstwhile ally.

Trump and Greene’s public fallout began on Friday, when the president openly denounced the Georgia Republican and withdrew his endorsement of her. After Greene fired back later that day, accusing Trump of going back on his principles and implying that he was fighting hard to prevent the release of documents related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, Trump renewed his attacks Saturday morning, debuting two new nicknames back to back.

“Lightweight Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Brown (Green grass turns Brown when it begins to ROT!), betrayed the entire Republican Party when she turned Left, performed poorly on the pathetic View, and became the RINO that we all know she always was. Just another Fake politician, no different than Rand Paul Jr. (Thomas Massie), who got caught being a full fledged Republican In Name Only (RINO)!” the president wrote in a post on Truth Social.

Not satisfied with just the one nickname, Trump debuted another just 37 minutes later.

“Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Green (sic) is a disgrace to our GREAT REPUBLICAN PARTY!” he wrote.

Trump also ReTruthed his initial Friday denouncement of Greene, in which he laid out his list of grievances against her. The president bashed Greene for failing to highlight his accomplishments and blaming her recent criticism of him on his lack of support for a possible run for higher office.

Trump said that “all I see ‘Wacky’ Marjorie do is COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN, COMPLAIN!” and derided her as a “ranting Lunatic.”

Greene responded to Trump’s criticisms on Friday, accusing him of lying about her and blaming the fallout on her push for release of documents related to Epstein.

“Apparently this is what sent him over the edge. The Epstein files,” Greene wrote in a post on X. “And of course he’s coming after me hard to make an example to scare all the other Republicans before next weeks vote to release the Epstein files. It’s astonishing really how hard he’s fighting to stop the Epstein files from coming out that he actually goes to this level.”

The Georgia Republican also posted screenshots of texts she had sent to Trump.

She reiterated her stance in a post on Saturday morning, saying the blowup was solely because she was “fighting to release the Epstein files, defending women who were victims of rape, and fighting to expose the web of rich powerful elites would have caused this.”

The discord within the Republican Party over the case of Epstein has been unique in Trump’s second term, stirring up a rare rebellion in a caucus usually undyingly loyal to Trump. Greene and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) have been the most prominent Republicans to publicly counter the president, leading to the current feud.
