Washington Examiner Senior Writer Joe Concha predicted that Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli will win against “Kamala 2.0” Mikie Sherrill in New Jersey’s gubernatorial race.
Concha reported on Fox News’s Hannity Tuesday that Ciattarelli signs outnumber Sherrill signs in Concha’s home of Bergen County, New Jersey. Bergen County elected Joe Biden in 2020 by a margin of 16%, but by 2024, Kamala Harris received a smaller margin of the vote at 50.5%, while Donald Trump nabbed over 47%.
“[Sherrill] cannot explain how she made $7 million in the stock market while sitting on the Armed Services Committee in Congress — and she was trading defense stocks — nobody likes that: left or right,” Concha said.
“Jack Ciattarelli, again, he wasn’t even supposed to be competitive against Phil Murphy four years ago, and he nearly won that race. Now he has name recognition, he has the experience, he has obviously some national attention as well,” Concha added. “So I think all those factors, and Mikie Sherrill being Kamala Harris 2.0, I think he has an excellent shot here to win the Garden State, where we have elected Republican governors before this century.”
NEW JERSEY FLIPS RED? MIKIE SHERRILL’S GUBERNATORIAL CAMPAIGN IS IMPLODING
Concha predicted that Ciattarelli will win the election next week.
Should Ciattarelli defeat Sherrill, it would be the fifth time a Republican has won a New Jersey election since 1993.
