Democratic Party call for disarmament would leave Israel defenseless

.

Ahead of Secretary of State Marco Rubio‘s negotiations with Qatari officials regarding the IsraelHamas war, the Democrats repeatedly called on Rubio to achieve a ceasefire deal and disarm Israel. However, if adopted, this would only sabotage the country’s defense.

“The United States must implement an arms embargo [against Israel] immediately,” Rep. Summer Lee (D-PA) said.

ISRAEL AND HAMAS PRESSED BY ALL COMERS TO COME TO AN AGREEMENT

Rep. Ro Khanna (D-CA) said Israel’s strikes in Qatar last week were “a mistake.”

Khanna believes Israel and the United States should be “negotiating a ceasefire” instead.

But what Khanna and his colleagues fail to understand is that “negotiating a ceasefire” with terrorists always results in the terrorists’ favor.

In the words of President Ronald Reagan, we do not negotiate with terrorists. Reagan’s reasoning for his words is simple: The terrorists aren’t looking for a ceasefire.

In this case, he is right. Hamas terrorists are looking to force Israeli forces to back down due to a one-sided “diplomacy,” so that they can continue to attack innocent women and children.

If Khanna and his colleagues don’t want to take Reagan’s or my word for it, they can just look at the timeline.

Earlier this year, Qatar brokered a peace deal between Israel, U.S. special envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Hamas.

That deal didn’t hold. As stated by Witkoff, the U.S. and Israel were misled by the terrorist network.

Months later, Israel and U.S. diplomats achieved ceasefire negotiations with Hezbollah, another Iranian-funded militia carrying out Tehran’s mission of bringing destruction to Israel. It broke the ceasefire deal soon after it was reached.

In August, Israel and President Donald Trump attempted to make a deal with Hamas in which the hostages would be returned safely in one go.

“From here on, the only possible deal is a total surrender of Hamas, the unconditional return of all our hostages, the dismantling of its armed force, the demilitarization of Gaza, the exile of the head of Hamas, and to allow all those who want to leave Gaza to do so,” Israeli minister Bezalel Smotrich said.

Hamas refused to accept his deal.

The Left’s rhetoric has impeded Israel’s ability to neutralize the threat and has aided Hamas.

“The left-wing protests and the media campaign benefited Hamas and made it harden its stance, as did the leaders of Europe that blew wind into its sails and promised it that if it only holds out and waits a little longer, the reality in Gaza will remain unchanged,” Smotrich said.

Negotiations with Hamas do not work. And if we chose to disarm Israel, it would make things even worse.

Disarming Israel will leave the nation defenseless in the face of terrorist extremism, which will not stop until the terrorists annihilate Israel. Disarming Israel means we would be leaving an entire population defenseless.

CEASEFIRE REJECTION UNDERSCORES WHY HAMAS MUST GO

It would mean more innocent women and children would be abducted from their homes in the name of liberation. It would mean more hostages being tortured, raped, and murdered by jihadists.

Now more than ever, the U.S. and Israel should continue to go on the offensive and eliminate the threat posed to them by the terrorists.
