Former President Bill Clinton allegedly praised disgraced convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s “childlike curiosity” in a compilation of birthday messages.

On Monday, the House Oversight Committee released a compilation of birthday messages from Epstein’s associates, compiled by associate Ghislaine Maxwell for his 50th birthday. One of them was from Clinton, in a message ascribed to him that extended a detailed message.

“Happy 50th,” the message began. “It’s heartening, isn’t it, to have lived so long, across all the years of learning and knowing, adventure and work, and still to have your childlike curiosity, the drive to make a difference, and the circle of friends.”

The birthday book in question is better known for an alleged suggestive message from President Donald Trump, which he vehemently denies. Other names in the compilation of messages were attorney Alan Dershowitz and Epstein’s mother, Pauline Stolofsky Epstein.

In a statement related to the release, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) blasted Democrats for focusing on Trump.

“It’s appalling Democrats on the Oversight Committee are cherry-picking documents and politicizing information received from the Epstein Estate today. Oversight Committee Republicans are focused on running a thorough investigation to bring transparency and accountability for survivors of Epstein’s heinous crimes and the American people,” he said.

“President Trump is not accused of any wrongdoing, and Democrats are ignoring the new information the Committee received today. The Committee will pursue additional Epstein bank records based on this new information. Democrats must decide if their priority is justice for the survivors or politics,” Comer added.

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed the release “PROVES this entire ‘Birthday Card’ story is false.”

“As I have said all along, it’s very clear President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it. President Trump’s legal team will continue to aggressively pursue litigation,” she added.
