Katie Miller, a Trump White House confidante and former spokeswoman for the Department of Government Efficiency, has pivoted to a new career with the debut of a podcast for working mothers.
Miller, who is married to White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, announced on Thursday that she is embarking on a new undertaking outside the federal government. The Katie Miller Podcast, she said, will be a place for “real, honest conversations [and] none of the bulls***.”
“This is life about women, for women, with men, too, talking about what matters to women, and that isn’t just what everyone considers a women’s issue because what’s a women’s issue? I have yet to find out,” Miller said in an announcement posted on X.

Miller said the idea for the podcast came to her after years of watching others host TV shows, radio shows, and podcasts.
“I thought, ‘Hey, I could do that too,’” Miller said. “For years, I’ve seen that there isn’t a place for conservative women to gather online. There isn’t a place for a mom like me, mom of three young kids, four, three, and almost two, and a wife, and trying to do a career, eat healthy, and work out, there isn’t a place for a mom like me.”
The podcast is set to debut Monday, and new episodes will be released weekly. It will showcase voices from across the political spectrum discussing lifestyle and news, and serve as a chance to “laugh with our friends.”
The timing of Miller’s podcast debut comes after a tumultuous few months between DOGE founder Elon Musk, President Donald Trump, and the president’s chief of staff.
Musk departed in early June after the department issued mass pink slips to federal workers in the first several months of the Trump administration. Katie Miller then went to work for Musk in the private sector.
Soon after Musk’s departure, he and Trump got into a fight on X. Musk accused the president of being a client of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and opposed the “one big, beautiful bill.” Trump shrugged Musk off as a disgruntled former government official, and the two later made up.
However, Katie Miller was caught between the White House and Musk, while her husband stood by Trump. Her decision to step away from Musk, as a government and private sector employee, cut her full-time ties to Musk, Axios reported.

Formerly Katie Waldman, Miller was a press assistant with the National Republican Senatorial Committee before becoming communications director for Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT). She signed on as spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security during Trump’s first term.
During the second half of Trump’s first term, Miller joined the office of then-Vice President Mike Pence as his spokeswoman.

Miller publicly disclosed her relationship with her husband during Trump’s first term, and the two were married in February 2020. Over the past 5 1/2 years, the couple has had three children.
Following Trump’s November 2024 election, he announced that Miller would be a senior official at DOGE.
