Britt says there is ‘no doubt’ Trump will win Nobel Peace Prize for Israel-Iran ceasefire

Sen. Katie Britt (R-AL) led a chorus of congressional Republicans arguing that President Donald Trump would win the Nobel Peace Prize for his international peace efforts, crowned by the Israel-Iran ceasefire.

In an appearance on Fox News, just hours before Trump announced a ceasefire between Israel and Iran after 12 days of fierce fighting, Britt praised the president’s peace efforts around the world. She argued that his latest accomplishment would guarantee him the Nobel Peace Prize, a long-sought-after award by Trump.

“President Trump is going to win the Nobel Peace Prize, no doubt,” Britt said, pointing to his role in mediating an end to wars between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, as well as India and Pakistan.

“And then you look at this, what everyone talked about but no one thought was possible,” she continued, referring to the Israel-Iran ceasefire. “He has brought peace to a region that needed stability. He has shown what ‘America First’ policy actually is. He makes sure that he’s preserving American lives at every single turn,” she continued.

Britt said Trump “just keeps winning,” leaving Democrats blindsided.

“Democrats don’t know what to say. I mean, their silence has never been louder, if you know what I mean. And I think it’s because President Trump just keeps winning and they don’t know what to do,” she said.

Sens. Bernie Moreno (R-OH) and Jim Banks (R-IN) also called for the president to be granted the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts.

In the House, Reps. Eli Crane (R-AZ), Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ), Darrell Issa (R-CA), Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA), Ashley Hinson (R-IA), Andy Barr (R-KY), Andy Biggs (R-AZ), and Andy Ogles (R-TN) all called for Trump to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.

“I think President Trump may have just earned a SECOND Nobel Peace Prize. First the Abraham Accords, now this. Think the global elites will ever give him the credit he deserves? Peace through strength works,” Crane said.

Hamadeh said Trump “deserved a Nobel Prize for the Abraham Accords during his first term. But what he just pulled off in dismantling Iran’s nuclear program and securing a ceasefire between Israel and Iran just 55 hours later may be an even more impressive achievement. President Trump truly is the ultimate Peace President.”

Ogles took his praise one step further, putting Trump in a league of his own.

“He is the greatest foreign policy mastermind in American history. Give him the Nobel Peace Prize — NOW,” he said.

The government of Pakistan nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize last week over his crucial role in mediating a ceasefire between India and Pakistan during their short conflict last month.

PAKISTAN OFFICIALLY NOMINATES TRUMP FOR NOBEL PEACE PRIZE

“At a moment of heightened regional turbulence, President Trump demonstrated great strategic foresight and stellar statesmanship through robust diplomatic engagement with both Islamabad and New Delhi which de-escalated a rapidly deteriorating situation, ultimately securing a ceasefire and averting a broader conflict between the two nuclear states that would have had catastrophic consequences for millions of people in the region and beyond,” Islamabad said in a statement provided by the Pakistani Embassy. “This intervention stands as a testament to his role as a genuine peacemaker and his commitment to conflict resolution through dialogue.”

Trump bemoaned his lack of a Nobel Peace Prize nomination last week, pointing to his role in resolving the India-Pakistan conflict as one of the main justifications. He speculated that the only reason he lacked one was because “they only nominate liberals.”
