As Hamas continues to commit war crimes, “pro-Palestinian” Democrats who have wailed hysterically about fabricated Israeli war crimes remain conspicuously silent.
On Tuesday, Israel launched strikes on a hospital complex in Khan Younis, reportedly targeting Mohammed Sinwar, the chief commander of Hamas’s “military wing” and brother of former chief terrorist Yahya Sinwar. Two weeks ago, Israel had again issued evacuation orders for civilians in Khan Younis. This particular hospital was founded by UNRWA with funding from the European Union. Israel was targeting a Hamas bunker underneath the hospital.
This raises a few questions, the chief of which is: Why does Hamas have a bunker under a hospital? We know this is normal practice for Hamas. Israel showed that Hamas was using Shifa Hospital to hide hostages and store weapons. The Israeli military captured around 100 Hamas terrorists in a raid on Kamal Adwan Hospital, and again found evidence that Hamas was using a hospital as a weapons depot. The Biden administration, even as it said that “hospitals must be protected” and that Israel must treat hospitals as “legitimate civilian infrastructure,” regularly acknowledged that Hamas was using hospitals as “command posts,” weapons storage, and for hiding hostages.
The other big question here would be about where all the “pro-Palestinian” Democrats are condemning Hamas for once again using a hospital for terrorist operations. Where is Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), the self-professed non-expert on this issue who nonetheless offers her terrible analysis every time she sees a chance to condemn Israel, or Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), who wants to cut off military aid to Israel? Where is the condemnation from Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD), an enthusiastic defender of UNRWA, for Hamas using a UNRWA-built hospital for terrorism?

What about Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), who cried about a false story that Israel had randomly bombed a hospital? (The hospital had been bombed randomly, but by a misfired Palestinian rocket, not by Israel.) Does she have any thoughts on Hamas turning hospitals into legitimate military targets? Does Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who peddled that same false story and claimed Israel had committed “the gravest of war crimes”? Does she consider terrorists using hospitals as military bunkers to be as grave a war crime as the fake story she used to condemn Israel?
“Pro-Palestinian” Democrats constantly either ignore Hamas’s war crimes or take them for granted and write them off as just the way things are. Either way, they refuse to condemn Hamas as the terrorists they are and hold them entirely responsible for the war between Gaza and Israel in the first place. In doing so, these Democrats give moral cover to Hamas while demanding that Israel fight a war with both hands tied behind its back.
