Democrats think they are above the law on illegal immigration

The Democratic Party continues to show that there is no one in this country it is willing to fight harder for than illegal immigrants.

Democrats’ attempt on Friday to force their way into an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center in Newark, New Jersey, was the latest example of this. In a video, Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) allegedly channeled her best Jan. 6 insurrectionist impression and pushed multiple federal law enforcement officers while Newark Mayor Ras Baraka was apparently arrested on trespassing charges after multiple warnings. They were joined in this election stunt by fellow New Jersey Democratic Reps. Bonnie Watson Coleman and Rob Menendez (son of disgraced former senator and convicted felon Bob Menendez).

The Democrats said “oversight” gave them the right to barge into the facility, no matter how their presence interfered with operations. McIver (allegedly) shoved federal agents on camera in an effort to continue the political stunt visit. Baraka (apparently) ignored multiple warnings and was arrested, clearly relying on getting arrested over illegal immigration to boost his gubernatorial campaign.

This is part of the evolving messaging of Democrats, which has grown more dramatic and more focused on illegal immigration above all else. Democratic governors, including Kathy Hochul (D-NY), JB Pritzker (D-IL), and Maura Healey (D-MA), came out of the gates after the election to vow that they would make keeping illegal immigrants in the country their top priority. Gov. Phil Murphy (D-NJ) even admitted to keeping an illegal immigrant in his home and said police would never find her in an utterly bizarre episode that he ultimately walked back.

DEMOCRATS HAVE LEARNED NOTHING ON IMMIGRATION

Now, open lawlessness is the Democratic Party’s strategy for keeping illegal immigrants in the country. That started with the existence of “sanctuary” jurisdictions, where Democratic cities and states refused to let ICE detain and deport violent criminals if they were illegal immigrants. That progressed to a Wisconsin judge allegedly obstructing ICE to keep an illegal immigrant from being deported, ignoring the victims of his alleged violence to whisk him out of the courtroom before agents could find him. Democrats then decided that their “no one is above the law” mantra should no longer apply, and that breaking the law to keep illegal immigrants in the country is something that should be defended.

It is no surprise that this has evolved to Democratic politicians getting themselves arrested and (allegedly) shoving federal law enforcement officers. Democratic politicians are most motivated by illegal immigration right now. Their priority is whatever is best for illegal immigrants, even if that means ignoring or actively breaking the law.
