Meghan McCain teases White Lotus boycott over X spat with actress

.

Meghan McCain considered boycotting the HBO series White Lotus after actress Carrie Coon critiqued her politics online.

McCain was one of over 36 million viewers who tuned in to President Donald Trump’s address to Congress. Afterward, the daughter of the late Republican Sen. John McCain, who died of a malignant brain tumor, posted on X that the speech brought her to tears.

“Thank you President Trump. This is so beautiful. Anyone who has been impacted by brain cancer knows how special this is,” McCain said.

“Who’s gonna tell her?” Coon wrote in response to McCain’s post.

“Can’t decide if I should still watch White Lotus tonight since one of the stars decided to tweet some nasty crap at me this week for liking Trumps address to the nation. What do we think?” McCain said Sunday when the latest White Lotus episode dropped.

“Watch it anyway,” talk show host Megyn Kelly responded to McCain. “Virtually every star in every movie and tv show hates conservatives, who could watch nothing if the prerequisite were: the ppl on screen could possibly like me or be like me.”

Coon has been outspoken on social media about politics. The actress frequently criticized McCain’s late father for his policies while serving as an Arizona senator.

Four senators boycotted Trump’s speech to Congress. Rep. Al Green (D-TX) was thrown out of the Capitol for loudly interrupting Trump as he spoke. Other Democratic members protested with signs and by wearing black or pink.
