Dan Rather bedwetting over Trump, ‘frightening chapter’

.

Newsman Dan Rather is not pausing his anti-Trump tirades like many other critics of the incoming president, and instead is urging his followers to resist President-elect Donald Trump and his policies.

On his popular substack Steady, the disgraced former CBS newsman on Sunday warned that Trump poses a threat to Americans and that citizens should not look away.

“Sticking our heads in the sand plays right into MAGA’s hands,” wrote Rather a day before America’s 45th president makes history by returning to the White House as the 47th president.

Like his allies on CNN, MSNBC, and other liberal news sites, Rather said that he is digging in to protest Trump for the next four years even as other notable media and business celebrities and titans are giving the Republican a grace period.

Just last night, for example, the owner of the anti-Trump Washington Post, Jeff Bezos, was photographed chumming with Trump and his wife Melania. The Post’s mixed messages and bow to Trump have prompted several of its newsroom team to bail out.

Not Rather, pushed out of CBS after pushing fake and negative reports about former President George W. Bush during his 2004 reelection campaign.

He warned without providing any evidence that under Trump, America is heading “into what will surely be a contentious, often frustrating, and sometimes frightening chapter in our nation’s history.”

And he tried to take down Trump’s new allies in social media, such as X owner Elon Musk. “As Elon Musk pushes X even further to the right, filled with hate speech and too much unchecked Trump, I have decided to try the new social media platform Bluesky,” he said, adding in a deeper warning, “Facebook, with Mark Zuckerberg’s decision to stop fact-checking, may not be far behind.”
