Action star and filmmaker Sylvester Stallone introduced President-elect Donald Trump as a “mythical character” and the “second George Washington” Thursday while introducing the next president at the America First Policy Institute gala.
“When George Washington defended his country, he had no idea that he was gonna change the world,” Stallone said. “Cause’ without him, you could imagine what the world would look like. Guess what, we got the second George Washington.”
Stallone alluded to his time making the first Rocky film to emphasize his admiration for Trump.

“If you remember, the first image was a picture of Jesus, and it it says, ‘Resurrection AC Club,’” Stallone told the audience at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida. “I found a church that had been converted to a boxing ring.”
“So, the image pans down from Jesus onto Rocky being hit, and at that moment, he was the chosen person, and that’s how I began the journey.”

The character of Rocky was destined to go through a change and impact lives, just like Trump, according to the filmmaker.
“We are in the presence of a really mythical character,” Stallone said. “I love mythology, and this individual does not exist on this planet. Nobody in the world could have pulled off what he pulled off. So, I’m in awe.”
