Pollster Zogby: ‘God help whoever wins this one’

.

This week’s White House Report Card is the last of the 2024 election season and it has ended with a bang from President Joe Biden.

Urged to stay in the White House basement, Biden instead overshadowed his understudy’s biggest speech of her short presidential campaign by calling supporters of former President Donald Trump “garbage.”

That nasty smear, similar to when 2016 Democratic nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton called Trump’s backers “deplorables,” upended the campaign of Vice President Kamala Harris.

And it led both of our graders to give Biden an “F” for the week which also featured the president nibbling on infants during the annual Halloween celebration.

Democratic pollster John Zogby said that whoever wins the election, tied with just three days to go, will have a mess on their hands: “God help whoever wins this one.”

Conservative analyst Jed Babbin cited other problems made by Biden and said, “If Trump is elected Tuesday, he’ll have a lot of cleaning up to do.”

The week began with a supporter of former President Donald Trump insulting and enraging Puerto Rican Americans by calling their spectacularly beautiful home a “floating island of garbage.”

That Trump did not quite disown that supporter was bad. The week ended with the sitting President Joe Biden calling Trump’s supporters “garbage.” He tried to wriggle out of it, but we all heard what we heard.

I poll politics for a living, and I am sick of this garbage. Next week, we will know — or not know — what happened. But this has been a terrible election season. God help whoever wins this one.

As the presidential campaign came down to its last few days, there was at least some fun to be had. President Joe Biden’s shot at Trump supporters — calling them “garbage” — was the highlight of the week. The Democrats continue to tell the biggest lie of the campaign, and the Justice Department wants illegal aliens to vote in the presidential election.

It’s pretty obvious that Biden wants Vice President Kamala Harris to lose. How else does anyone account for his calling every supporter of former President Donald Trump “garbage?” There was a minor kerfuffle over the White House attempt to edit what he said, but there’s the videotape that shows it perfectly clearly.

If this weren’t bad enough for Harris, a day later, Trump — a showman to the end — showed up in the passenger seat of a huge garbage truck with his campaign logo painted on the side. He hung out of the passenger side window and gave an impromptu press conference.

The Democrats continue to rely on the biggest lie of the campaign: that if Republicans win, they’ll enact — and Trump will sign — a national abortion ban. The Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision, which overturned Roe v. Wade, specifically made abortion a matter for the states to control or not. No national abortion ban is possible. But the gullible, easily-led and unintelligent — and the media — all fall for the lie. It’s like Mao Zedong said: a lie repeated one hundred times becomes the truth.

The Supreme Court turned down a Justice Department demand that Virginia should be forced to allow illegal aliens — who had identified themselves as non-citizens — to vote. Sanity is rare these days, but for once, it prevailed.

While this was going on, Harris’s campaign was handing out six-figure donations to groups that support defunding the police and reparation payments to blacks to apologize for slavery. Harris has said she believes we should have a conversation about reparations.

If you want to learn about Harris’s policies, you’ll never get them from her. But recent revelations tell us a lot.

Harris, according to credible reports, ordered a review of years of intelligence briefings to determine if they showed gender bias. It’s more important to her that proper pronouns are used than if the intel briefings are accurate. And then again, there’s Joe. His flood of economy-killing regulations is about to hit an all-time high for any presidency.

To top it all off, Secretary of State Antony Blinken is again over in the Middle East, trying to appease the Iranians by persuading the Israelis to begin a ceasefire in Lebanon. The Israelis — and the bad guys — are, as usual, ignoring him.

If Trump is elected Tuesday, he’ll have a lot of cleaning up to do.
