Joe Biden is the October surprise

.

Here’s Joey! It is fitting that still-President Joe Biden is making his presence felt in the waning days of the presidential election. Democrats should have expected that, like Jack Nicholson’s character in the 1980 Stanley Kubrick film The Shining, Biden would take an ax to the flimsy haunted hotel door that is the Harris campaign.

Democrats made a deal with the devil when they nominated Biden in 2020. Both Democratic elites in their smoke-filled rooms and everyday left-wing voters realized that they couldn’t nominate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), a Marxist with little crossover appeal, fake Native American Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), or any of the dozens of also-rans such as billionaire Michael Bloomberg, Mayor Pete Buttigieg of South Bend, Indiana, or now-Republican Tulsi Gabbard. Despite his already declining mental state, Biden was the only candidate with the centrist appeal and name recognition required to stop the dastardly Mean Orange Man Donald Trump.

The only problem for our friends on the Left is that Biden’s life has revolved around becoming commander in chief for over 50 years. Democrats assumed that the elderly president would gracefully decline to run for reelection and fade off into obscurity as a new, fresh face of the party led the progressive movement forward, but they failed to consider the pride of a man who has spent his entire adult life attempting to assume the ultimate seat of power in the United States federal government.

Sure, the Democrats pressured Biden into dropping out of the race and endorsing his betrayer, but this is a president we are talking about. The level of ego and self-importance required to become the leader of the free world turns a person into a force that is difficult to control, especially if that person is suffering from apparent dementia.

There is a reason why Vice President Kamala Harris has refused to criticize Biden’s record, even when pivoting from the policies of her boss would be politically expedient: She can’t, lest she risk reprisal from a mentally compromised man who happens to hate her guts. At every turn, Biden has reminded voters that Harris was a part of every disastrous policy the administration put forth.

With only days remaining before the election, Biden took one more swing of the ax at the candidate whom he was forced to pick as his running mate by race- and gender-obsessed leftist activists. While trying to denounce Trump by tying him to Tony Hinchcliffe, a roast comic who did a set at the former president’s rally at Madison Square Garden in New York over the weekend, Biden called Trump voters “garbage.”

Surely the Harris team was hoping to avoid its own version of former President Barack Obama’s “bitter clingers” and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s “basket of deplorables.” But perhaps it should have considered that before it attached itself to a dementia-ridden man whom it planned on Julius Caesaring if the going got tough.

There is no true October surprise this year, but Democrats sure seem to be surprised that they couldn’t get away with electing a mentally compromised candidate, forcing him to pick a politically talentless black woman for vice president upon penalty of endless corporate media squealing, and orchestrating a coup against him for political gain. The October surprise is the sitting president of the U.S. and reality itself.

You bought this ticket, Democrats. I hope you enjoy the ride as much as you enjoy the second term of President Donald Trump.
