Trump tells Harris ‘you’re fired’ at Madison Square Garden rally

.

Former President Donald Trump made another pitch to be elected president on Sunday, this time in heavily Democratic New York City.

Speaking before an estimated crowd of nearly 20,000 people at the legendary Madison Square Garden, Trump heavily criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for her political record and claimed the Biden-Harris administration had been one of “gross incompetence” and said it was up to voters to tell the vice president she had done a “terrible job.” He then said that she had destroyed the country and that on Tuesday, Nov. 5, voters should tell her that she was “fired.”

“I like to begin by asking a very simple question, ‘Are you better off now than you were four years ago?” Trump said before making his case as to why he was the superior presidential candidate. He then delivered his famous slogan from his time on the television show The Apprentice.

“The fate of our nation is in your hands,” Trump said. “Next Tuesday, you have to stand up and you have to tell Kamala Harris that ‘you’ve done a terrible job, that crooked Joe Biden has done a terrible job. You’ve destroyed our country. We’re not going to take it anymore. Kamala, you’re fired.”

The tens of thousands of Trump supporters in attendance erupted in applause.

Trump’s speech was the finale in a six-hour political event in one of the most storied arenas in the world’s history. Political figures such as former congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, talk show host Tucker Carlson, former wrestler Hulk Hogan, and former first lady Melania Trump gave speeches explaining why Trump was the superior choice to Harris in the upcoming election.

“Thank you everybody, thank you,” Trump opened his speech. He then proceeded to thank his wife, Melania, and some of the speakers who appeared before him. He then greeted the people in attendance.

“I just want to say a very big hello to a special place, New York, and to an incredible arena, Madison Square Garden, incredible,” Trump said to thunderous applause. “I’m thrilled to be back in the city I love and thousands of proud, hard-working American patriots, you’re with me, we’re all together, we’ve always been together.”

The crowd enthusiastically chanted “USA! USA! USA!” and “Trump! Trump! Trump!”

Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden came nine days before the 2024 presidential election. The event drew the ire of Democrats over the last week, with many Harris supporters, including former Sec. of State and 2016 Democratic nominee for president, Hillary Clinton, using incendiary remarks to criticize the event.
