Social media metrics show ‘surplus of enthusiasm’ for Trump: Tiana Lowe Doescher

A new report highlighting the social media growth and engagement figures for former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris shows a “surplus of enthusiasm” for the 45th president, Washington Examiner Commentary Writer Tiana Lowe Doescher said.

“It certainly shows a deficit in enthusiasm for Harris and surplus of enthusiasm for Trump, and the fact that Trump and J.D. Vance are both being rewarded for flooding the zone with both interviews on, you know, TV media, digital media, podcasts, they are doing everything and anything,” Doescher said on Fox News’s Fox News at Night.

Numbers released this week reported that in the last 30 days, Trump had more likes per post, followers gained, and total followers on X and Instagram than Harris.

“Tim Walz has been hidden in a closet. Kamala Harris has not taken a single press conference question,” Doescher said. “She’s been barely doing interviews, and, look, if you look at Kamala Harris’s strategy, which voters she’s trying to turn out, it’s all highly educated voters and women.”

“With young men, the Harvard-Harris Poll found that she’s running 11 points behind Joe Biden’s 2020 performance with men younger than 30.”

This demographic is one with a strong online presence, Doescher said.

“Those are men who are very online and coming out for Donald Trump,” she said.
