Elon Musk trolled billionaire George Soros, comparing the leftist donor to X-Men supervillain Magneto.
“Soros reminds me of Magneto,” Musk tweeted late Monday night.

The remark comes in the wake of Soros’s announcement that he dumped a significant amount of Tesla stock, according to a report.
His family got rid of its total stake in Musk’s company during this year’s first quarter, the report noted, but the total value of the dumped stock has not been confirmed.
Comparing Soros to a supervillain was not received well by many on the Left, with several Twitter users condemning Musk.
“Fun fact: Magneto’s experiences during the Holocaust as a survivor shaped his perspective as well as his depth and empathy,” one user tweeted.
“[Soros], also a Holocaust survivor, [gets] attacked nonstop for his good intentions which some Americans think are bad merely because they disagree with this political affiliations.”
Musk doubled down on his sentiment.
“You assume they are good intentions,” he replied. “They are not. He wants to erode the very fabric of civilization.”

In Marvel Comics, Magneto is a principal antagonist to the X-Men who has control over metal and seeks a world in which mutants rule over humans.
