Nancy Mace demands DOJ investigate Biden family over ‘influence’ claims

Rep. Nancy Mace (R-SC) says the Department of Justice needs to “get off its a**” and investigate the Biden family’s alleged business dealings in Romania and China.
Mace made the comments at a press conference announcing the findings by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday, where Rep. James Comer (R-KY) outlined bank records related to business dealing by Hunter Biden in foreign countries.

“The DOJ needs to get off its a** and investigate,” Mace said. “We’ve done the work for them so that they can’t screw it up now.
“If these allegations, any of these allegations, are proven true, then someone with the last name Biden needs to be charged, prosecuted, and maybe spend a little bit of time in prison to take to account and responsible for the actions they’ve taken today,” Mace continued.
The report released by the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday alleges that bank records show “the Biden family, their business associates, and their companies received over $10 million” from companies belonging to foreign nationals. The payments were allegedly made over a period of multiple years, including when now-President Joe Biden served as vice president.
The report did not directly link Joe Biden to the payments, but other family members, including his son Hunter, were connected in the report.

Hunter Biden has been under investigation by the Department of Justice since 2018 for various charges, but Joe Biden has stood by his son despite the ongoing investigation.
“First of all, my son has done nothing wrong,” Joe Biden said last week. “I trust him. I have faith in him. It impacts my presidency by making me feel proud of him.”
