Eight people aged between 5 and 61 died and another seven were injured last Saturday when a gunman opened fire in an Allen, Texas, outlet shopping mall. The 33-year-old man, who was armed with an AR-15-style rifle, is being investigated by police for possible connections to extremists based on his social media presence and the insignia on his clothing.

“I’m not going to go beyond what the reporting is on ties to right-wing organizations,” Jean-Pierre said Monday.
