Ukrainian delegate puts beat down on Russian official who tried to steal flag

A Ukrainian delegate is going viral for putting a beat down on a Russian official who tried to steal his nation’s flag at a meeting of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
The incident occurred Thursday at the meeting in Ankara, Turkey, when Ukrainian delegate Oleksandr Marikovski photobombed a video with Russian delegate Olga Timofeeva, according to a report.

Marikovski displayed the Ukrainian flag behind Timofeeva before a man approached the Ukrainian, took his flag, and tried to walk away with it.
The delegate caught up with the thief and greeted him with his fists. He then retrieved his flag and the two were separated by bystanders.
President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Mustafa Sentop denounced the incident.
“I condemn this behavior that disrupts the peaceful environment that Turkey is trying to establish,” Sentop said.

Footage of the incident has garnered millions of views on Twitter.
Marikovski’s beatdown of the Russian official comes a day after Russia said it downed two Ukrainian drones over the Kremlin.
