The fallout continues at Bud Light after a disastrous decision to feature Dylan Mulvaney, a man who thinks he is a woman, as a spokesperson for the beer. Conservative Republicans led the charge and called for a boycott of the beer. As a result, the company walked back its advertising gimmick, replacing two executives and issuing something of an apology. But none of this would have happened if people had listened to the family of former President Donald Trump.

Over the last week, Anheuser-Busch, the parent company of Bud Light, replaced Alissa Heinerscheid, the Bud Light vice president of marketing, and her superior, Daniel Blake, a marketing executive, the Washington Examiner reported. It was a big step for the beer company and an example of the change the Right can have on the culture if it works together and sticks to its principles and beliefs. Unfortunately, this runs counter to what several members of the former first family were encouraging last week, most notably Donald Trump Jr.

RON DESANTIS MAKES PITCH FOR LEADERSHIP WITHOUT ‘PETTY CONTROVERSY OR DRAMA’

Trump Jr. was more worried about how much money Anheuser-Busch donates in political campaigns than standing up and defending conservative Republican ideals. Nearly every sane and objective person knew that Bud Light majorly screwed up by using a delusional man, thinking he was a woman, as the central figure of a marketing campaign. But Trump Jr. rushed to the company’s defenses anyway.

“So here’s the deal. Anheuser-Busch totally s*** the bed with this Dylan Mulvaney thing. I’m not, though, for destroying an American, an iconic company for something like this,” Trump Jr. said earlier this month. “The company itself doesn’t participate in the same leftist nonsense as the other big conglomerates. Frankly, they don’t participate in the same woke garbage that other people in the beer industry actually do, who are significantly worse offenders when I looked into it.”

But had conservatives and Republicans heeded his warning, none of these changes would have occurred. The Trump family had the reputation of being the so-called fighters many voters on the Right yearned for among the politicians they support. Trump’s plutocracy and putting profit before principles were highly disappointing. The Trump family was unquestionably wrong for defending Bud Light and became an example of what not to do during such controversies.

Incidentally, it should be noted that one Republican who didn’t shy away from the boycott was forthcoming Trump political rival Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL). He supported and encouraged it and has been leading the charge for common sense in the culture war in the country. Because, as the Trump family showed last week, unfortunately, they cannot be trusted to defend conservative Republican values.
