Popular prime-time host Tucker Carlson’s sudden departure from Fox News was announced on Monday morning.

Conservatives on social media are reacting to the news of the longtime host leaving the channel.

FOX NEWS AND POPULAR PRIME-TIME HOST TUCKER CARLSON PART WAYS

Carlson joined Fox News as a contributor in 2009. He began his nightly show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, in 2016.

Dan Bongino, who also recently announced his decision to part ways with Fox News, reacted to the news live on his podcast, The Dan Bongino Show. The conservative commentator told viewers that he had “goosebumps” and noted that it was rare for news to prompt him to stop in the middle of a live broadcast.

“Apparently Tucker Carlson and Fox are done,” he said. “I’m stunned. I don’t even know what to say right now.”

Founder and President of Turning Point USA Charlie Kirk warned that Fox News was forever changed by Carlson’s departure, according to a statement from a spokesperson to the Washington Examiner.

According to the spokesperson, Kirk said: “Tucker Carlson represents the top existential threat to the ideological left, and perhaps just as importantly, the neoliberal right. He was their number one foe, save for Donald Trump. Conservative media will never be the same. Fox News will never be the same. There’s no way to explain just how important and consequential this news truly is.”

Donald Trump Jr. expressed shock at the news, writing on Twitter, “Confirmed: Tucker Carlson out at Fox News. OMG.”

“Tucker is really the reason to watch Fox,” former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon said in reaction to the news on his show, War Room. “With this, I don’t know why anybody needs to watch anything on the Murdoch empire.”

“We would love to have you here. You won’t miss a beat,” Glenn Beck, CEO of the conservative Blaze Media, said. “Together, the two of us will tear it up.”

“You lose Tucker Carlson — I think that really kills them,” he said in reference to Fox News.

“Tucker was the only guy out there that I felt was in the mainstream media that was telling America the truth,” he added.

“Fox News’ goodbye message to @TuckerCarlson sure looks like what they said when I left. I have a feeling this will KILL Fox,” Beck wrote in a tweet.

While there is no confirmation of tension between Carlson and Fox News, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) wrote, “I STAND WITH TUCKER CARLSON!”

Carlson has yet to comment on the news of his parting ways with Fox News.

His is the second high-profile departure from the network in less than a week. Last week, Bongino announced that he could not come to terms on a contract extension with Fox News. However, Bongino made it clear that there was no bad blood between them.
