WATCH: Cruz rails on how Democrats ‘don’t give a damn’ about people suffering under their policies

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) called the lack of Democrats’ concern for how people are suffering in cities being overrun by crime “striking.”
While appearing on Hannity, Cruz blasted the Democratic members of the House Judiciary Committee for being more concerned about politics instead of caring about how leftist policies are affecting people.

“They don’t give a damn about the body bags that are piling up. They don’t give a damn about the over 100,000 overdoses that happened last year on Joe Biden’s watch,” Cruz said. “They don’t give a damn about the Biden body bags that are piling up on our southern border.”
During Monday’s House Judiciary Committee field hearing in New York City, Democrats blasted Republicans for using crime victim testimony as means to “harass, intimidate, and threaten Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg” in the wake of former President Donald Trump’s indictment.
“They don’t give a damn about the murders and the gangbangers in New York City, and Chicago, and San Francisco, and Los Angeles, and Philadelphia — in these blue cities with blue Democrats and George Soros-DAs that let violent criminals go,” Cruz added.

Cruz further slammed the Biden administration for putting those who have historically been soft on crime in positions of power, “resulting in a whole lot more people being murdered.”
“The people who are murdered disproportionately are low-income Americans, low-income New Yorkers, low-income Chicagoans — often African American, often Hispanics,” Cruz said. “And the Democrats who love to preen on racial issues don’t care at all about the people who are suffering as a result of their policies.”
