WATCH LIVE: Eric Adams holds press conference as House GOP comes to New York

New York City Mayor Eric Adams is holding a press conference with Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and gun control advocates.

The press conference, scheduled for 8:15 a.m., comes ahead of a hearing by the House Judiciary Committee in Manhattan to discuss crime within the city.

House Republicans organized the hearing after Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg brought charges against former President Donald Trump for falsifying business documents in relation to hush money payments to two women in 2016.

The hearing is expected to feature at least three witnesses, including the mother of a homicide victim, a bodega clerk who was wrongfully charged with murder, and an anti-crime activist, per reports.
