MTG appears to side with ‘white, male, christian’ leak suspect over Biden administration

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) appeared to side with the “white, male, christian” on Thursday, who allegedly leaked classified documents from the Pentagon.
Greene claimed in a tweet that because suspect Jack Teixeira, who was arrested in connection to the leak, is white, Christian, and male, he’s an “enemy” to the White House.

“Jake Teixeira is white, male, christian, and anti-war. That makes him an enemy to the Biden regime,” Greene tweeted. “Ask yourself who is the real enemy? A young low level national guardsmen? Or the administration that is waging war in Ukraine, a non-NATO nation, against nuclear Russia without war powers?”
The FBI arrested Teixeira in Dighton, Massachusetts, on Thursday afternoon without incident. Teixeira, 21, is a cyber transport systems journeyman for the Massachusetts Air National Guard. He joined the service in September 2019 and was stationed at Otis Air National Guard Base.
Teixeira is accused of releasing hundreds of classified military documents for weeks on the messaging platform Discord. His alleged unauthorized distribution of classified information was only discovered recently, with Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin first being briefed on the subject on April 6. But the leaks could date back as early as January.
The documents that have been released revealed United States intelligence regarding both sides of the war in Ukraine and uncovered allegedly uncomfortable truths about the U.S.’s relationships with allies, including Israel and South Korea. The Defense Department and allied countries have claimed that some of the documents have been altered.
Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) called Greene out for her statement on Teixeira, claiming that his skin color, religion, and gender do not give him license to “betray his country.” The Justice Department has indicated that Teixeira could be charged with violating the Espionage Act.

“McCarthy’s top lieutenant is siding with one of the biggest traitors America has seen,” Swalwell tweeted. “I’m sorry, Marge, being white, male, and Christian is not license to betray your country and put the lives of thousands at risk. But this wouldn’t be the first time she sided with traitors.”
Swalwell previously claimed that Republicans who do not support gun bans are siding with the “killers” because of their lack of action when it comes to gun control. His comment came after a shooter killed six people in Nashville, Tennessee, last month.
