Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) posted a photograph of the trunk of her car filled with plastic grocery bags on Saturday, with a 24-pack of Coors Light beers at the center.

“I would have bought the king of beers, but it changed it’s gender to the queen of beers. So it’s made to chill from here on out,” the Georgia congresswoman wrote on Twitter.

Her tweet was in response to Bud Light recently choosing to partner with transgender woman influencer and biological male Dylan Mulvaney. Anheuser-Busch produces both Bud Light as well as Budweiser, which has long been referred to as “The King of Beers.”

Bud Light’s partnership with Mulvaney has drawn numerous social media protests from celebrities, including Kid Rock, John Rich, and Travis Tritt.

Social media quickly descended on the outspoken conservative from Georgia, mocking her for being unaware that Coors Light has had a longtime relationship with the LGBT community.

“Your hate is only topped by your ignorance,” podcast host Fred Wellman said, replying to her tweet with a screenshot showing Coors Light’s sponsorship of the Denver PrideFest.

“How do complete and utter idiots get elected to positions of public trust?” a social media user said, posting a screenshot of Coors Light’s long list of its work with the LGBT community.

“Coors Light has been committed to supporting the LGBT community for nearly 30 years and continues to champion equality for all,” the screenshot said.

“Oh honey. Coors has been a very open supporter of LGBTQ+ for decades. They even sponsor Pride parades and festivals. Good lord, y’all and your self owns are giving me life today,” a Twitter user said in response to Greene’s tweet.

Supporters of Greene responded to the critical tweets.

“Another beer I will never drink again!” one social media user said.

Numerous videos have been shared online showing consumers dumping their Bud Light products out in protest of the beer. Singer Kid Rock shot cases of the beer on his property in a social media video.

Bud Light has remained silent on social media following the revelation of their partnership with Mulvaney on April 1.
