Joy Behar said Thursday on The View that she doesn’t blame House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) “for stepping down after what they did to her husband,” referring to the Republican Party.
“And this whole thing about bringing lawsuits against Biden and the administration is just spite work,” Behar continued. “She doesn’t need it. She’s too good for that,” she said before Pelosi’s speech.
Pelosi announced during an afternoon floor speech that she would not seek reelection to leadership in the House of Representatives, a decision that was influenced by the brutal hammer attack on her husband last month.

An emotional Ana Navarro told her co-hosts, “No matter what happens. No matter what she announces, no matter what she decides to say, there is something nobody is ever going to be able to take away from Nancy Pelosi. She is the first woman speaker in U.S. history.”
“She made it possible so our little girls can now see that a woman can hold that job, and she’s done it well, and she’s done it while being married. She’s done it while being a grandmother, while being a mother, and while being a representative,” she added, thanking Pelosi.
According to Navarro, she also gave “a master class of what it’s like to lead with a very small margin.”
“[Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA)] is salivating to be the new speaker,” Behar claimed.
She further said, “You squeaked by, Kevin,” attributing Republicans winning the majority to “redistricting.”
“That’s why the Democrats lost the House of Representatives,” she added.
“So it’s not like this country is thrilled to have you there,” Behar continued.

She then wondered if McCarthy would work with “Democrats, who actually solve problems.”
