Disney World raises its prices for the second time in 2022

Walt Disney World will be raising the prices of admission to its parks after Dec. 8 for the second time this year.
Tickets to all parks will cost anywhere between $124 to $189 per day ahead of the holidays, a nearly 12% increase from its last increase in February. Prices for all of its various annual passes will also increase upwards of $100, but these are still only available to Florida residents due to high demand, with the exception of the Incredi-Pass, its most expensive annual ticket at $1,399.
All four parks will also be priced separately for the first time. Magic Kingdom will become the most expensive, and Animal Kingdom will cost the least.

“We continue to focus on providing guests with the best, most memorable Disney experience, and we’re doing that by growing our theme parks with incredible new attractions and offerings,” the company said in a statement.
The California equivalent theme park Disneyland also raised the prices of its annual passes by as much as $200 earlier this year, which now go for anywhere between $499 and $1,599.
Disneyland’s first annual pass debuted in 1982 at $100 for adults, $93 for juniors aged 12-17, and $80 for children aged 3-10. Now, Magic Keys are sold at the same price, no matter the holder’s age. In 2000, the annual pass would increase to over $300.

Meanwhile, Disney CEO Bob Chapek renewed his contract with the company through 2025 with a $20 million annual bonus. This was a $5 million increase from the year before.
