Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is set to visit Iowa in early April, marking the third time she has visited the crucial primary state since launching her White House bid earlier this year.

Haley is scheduled to appear at five campaign events spread throughout the Hawkeye State during the second week of April as the former South Carolina governor seeks to boost her standing among GOP voters. By the time Haley wraps up her Iowa trip, she will have hosted a total of 16 in-person events in the nation’s first voting state.

Haley will begin her trip on April 10 in Sioux City as she meets with a group of local Republican women and hosts a town hall event with Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-IA), according to the candidate’s schedule obtained by Politico. The next day, Haley is expected to attend a series of meet and greets alongside Feenstra in Denison, Storm Lake, and Fort Dodge.

Her trip will wrap up in Des Moines on April 12 as she hosts a Haley for President event, according to the schedule.

Haley faces an uphill battle as she seeks the GOP nomination, falling far behind former President Donald Trump and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in the polls. However, the former United Nations ambassador benefits from a positive favorability rating that could help elevate her candidacy over the coming months.

More than half of GOP voters (54%) say they would vote for Trump if the GOP primaries were held today, with DeSantis lagging at 26%, according to a recent poll by Morning Consult. Haley only garnered 4% of that vote, the survey showed.

However, Haley enjoys a 47% favorability rating, putting her among the top four GOP contenders to receive such high marks. Trump still leads the pack in that category with a 77% favorability rating, according to the poll.
