Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) revealed that she is writing a book, and it will focus on how democracy is being narrowed by both the Republican Party and the Supreme Court.

“I’m emancipated now!” the former speaker of the House said in a new interview. “Liberated! Freedom! Free at last!”

With some of her newfound free time, she said she will embark on writing a book. “I probably will be saying some things about our democracy and what the Republicans and the court have done to narrow it,” she explained.

The veteran California congresswoman held nothing back when discussing her colleagues across the aisle, telling her interviewer, “That’s what all roads lead to with the Republicans: reckless.”

She also revealed that she tries to avoid mentioning former President Donald Trump by name. After accidentally saying his name, she told the reporter for the Los Angeles Times, “Don’t write that down. … Just say she burped.”

Pelosi displayed some disagreement with how President Joe Biden, a longtime colleague of hers, has chosen to take on his political adversaries.

She apparently did not approve of Biden’s recent reference to Trump as “the former president — and maybe future president.”

“Oh, please. Don’t even say such a thing,” she said. “That isn’t kidding. That’s horrible.”

Further, she said, “He’s going to raise her a million dollars by mentioning her name,” referring to Republican firebrand Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

Pelosi, who revealed last year that she wouldn’t be seeking a leadership position in the new Congress, said she’s relieved to have less responsibility.

“I’m so relieved because it is a 24/7 — there are not enough hours in the day — job,” she detailed.

She did say that her only “real regret” was that she didn’t leave the Democratic Party with the majority in the House of Representatives. “I fully intended to do that, and we came very close,” she explained.

Pelosi additionally fawned over her colleague Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), who she recently endorsed for Senate in California. If Schiff were to win, he would take over the seat currently held by Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA).

“Adam Schiff is one of the best people that I have ever served with in the Congress for 35 years,” she claimed.

“Our state would be magnificently served by Adam Schiff,” she added. “I’m just a big fan of his. Always have been.”

As speculation continues to swirl around her future in the party, Pelosi reiterated that she will serve her full term in the House. However, it remains unclear as to whether she will seek reelection in 2024.

Pelosi’s office did not respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment.
