The packed ballroom at former President’s Donald Trump‘s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida erupted into cheers and applause as he announced another campaign for the White House in 2024.
“In order to make America great and glorious again, I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump said.

Trump is the first candidate to announce his bid for the Republican nomination for president in 2024. The former president has already lodged attacks against some potential future rivals, including Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).
President Joe Biden has said he intends to run again but has not yet announced a reelection campaign.
