Biden’s disastrous border security strikes again

This weekend, President Joe Biden‘s impotence on border security was on full display as hundreds of migrants, mainly from Venezuela, rushed the Paso Del Norte Bridge in El Paso, Texas, trying to enter the country. There were conflicting reports on the total number of migrants involved, with estimates between a couple hundred to around a thousand. Video footage of the incident went viral on social media.
It’s another failure for the presidential administration regarding border security. The more people suffer, the more Biden ignores it.

Biden’s failure to act is an embarrassment to the country. Pleas from local citizens, border patrol officers, Texas government officials, and Congressional Republicans continue to go unanswered as the situation keeps getting worse and worse. All the while, Biden does nothing. More importantly, however, it puts people at risk as dangerous criminals, suspected terrorists, and sex and drug traffickers continue to cause havoc along the border.
During Sunday’s incident, Customs and Border Protection officers and its Mobile Field Force were deployed to deter the crowd from entering the country, the Washington Examiner’s Anna Giaritelli reported. The agency released a statement stating that it halted traffic on the bridge “after a large group of individuals formed on the Mexican side of the border and approached the international boundary posing a potential threat to make a mass entry.”
Additionally, two migrants assaulted a CBP officer, according to a press release by the FBI. An officer was attempting to place six Venezuelan nationals in a Border Patrol car when one of the immigrants attacked the officer and fled the scene. While in pursuit, the other immigrants fled the vehicle, KTSM TV, an NBC affiliate in El Paso, reported.
After another physical confrontation with another immigrant, a “concerned citizen” helped the officer to subdue one of the suspects. Both were apprehended and faced federal charges of assaulting a federal officer.
It’s just one example of the many dangers resulting from the Biden administration’s failures. Consider a video on the FBI’s website that details the harrowing conditions along the border.
“Drug trafficking. Human smuggling. Extortion. Murder. Corrupt public officials. All these crimes represent a multi-billion dollar industry, and they pose a threat not only to communities on both sides of the border but to our national security as well,” the video’s narrator says.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbot blamed Biden for the surge. He stated that his state was doing Biden’s job protecting the country.
“Texas National Guard soldiers blocked a surge of illegal immigrants attempting to cross the border illegally into El Paso,” Abbot tweeted. “Biden’s open border policies have created a record-breaking crisis of illegal immigration. Texas is protecting our state — and America — in his absence.”
This negligence is despite the nation’s border patrol chiefs continuously asking for help amid claims that conditions are overwhelming. Since Jan. 2021, CBP has reported a record number of arrests, drugs seized, illegal immigrant encounters, and terrorist suspects attempting to enter the country illegally. Additionally, there’s been a rampant increase in Mexican drug cartel activity that threatens national security.
Sunday’s turmoil in El Paso was just the latest failure. For over two years, there’s been a lack of leadership and effort to restore order along the U.S.-Mexico border. Our country has a border crisis, and the President of the United States refuses to do anything about it. Moreover, Biden previously claimed there were more important matters to deal with.

Too many innocent people suffer as the leader of the free world does nothing.
While campaigning for president, he stressed the importance of strong border security, even if he disagreed with his predecessor’s methods. No president has ever looked so weak; criminals now dictate border security. It’s inexcusable, dangerous, and horribly ineffective. Biden’s feeble leadership has made our country less safe, and he’s been a complete and utter disaster.
